Procès pour viol de propriété intellectuelle

Trois Australiens (de 19 et 20 ans) seront jugés le 10 novembre pour viol de propriété INtellectuelle à l'encontre d'Universal, Sony, Warner, BMG, EMI et Festival Mushroom. C'est le premier procès pénal au monde contre le piratage informatique de musique (les procès contre Napster par exemple étant fondés sur le code civil).

Ils risquent jusqu'à cinq ans de prison et 60 500 dollars australiens (39 325 dollars US) d'amende pour avoir distribué illégalement pour 60 millions de dollars d'enregistrements sur un site web intitulé MP3 WMA land.

Bien sûr le site est HS et on y trouve un joli message à la place :
