Initialement annulé au profit du projet Longhorn, le remplaçant de Windows XP dont le nom de code était Blackcomb ne devait pas sortir.
Et là ô surprise, je suis tombé la dessus ce matin :
Microsoft insiders were jumping around with excitement early last month as the strangely-named 550 days programme kicked off. Something wonderful is obviously scheduled to happen 550 days from July 2nd, but what? What major event does the software behemoth have penciled in for Friday 3rd January 2003? Windows XP is due out on October 25th, so unless it's going to be very late, it's not that, while Xbox is still supposed to be coming in January 2002. What does that leave? The only thing we could come up with is Blackcomb, the replacement for WindowsXP that will see the full horror of the .Net initiative finally come to fruition. Blackcomb is penciled in for a 2003 timeframe launch scenario, so it looks suspiciously as if Windows XP will shuffle off this mortal coil in January 2003.
Et oui vous lisez comme moi…Il serait prévu pour le 3 janvier 2003 date non encore sure avec les habituels retards de Microsoft.
Mais ce n’est pas ce qui me chagrine…A la base le projet Blackcomb a été annulé officiellement, alors soit mon confrère d’Activewin doit arrêter les rideaux soit Microsoft nous prépare encore un plan douteux allez savoir.
