AMD vient de confirmer la date de lancement de l'Athlon 64, à savoir le 23 Septembre. Patience!

AMD today announced the worldwide launch of the AMD Athlon(tm) 64 processors for desktop and notebook PCs will be in San Francisco on Sept. 23, 2003. The upcoming AMD Athlon 64 processor will be the world's first and only 64-bit desktop and notebook PC processor featuring the compatibility and performance offered by the AMD64 architecture.

The AMD Athlon 64 processor is expected to provide world-class 32-bit performance, while offering PC users a seamless transition to the next generation of computing. Because the AMD Athlon 64 processor is built on the AMD64 platform, it is designed to be compatible with today's 32-bit software and hardware applications pervasive in desktop and notebook computing.
